Installing lower version of Flash Player once updated to 10.1
This article applies to all those users who have somehow updated to latest flash player version i.e. 10.1 and now want to downgrade to lower version i.e. lower then 10.1 version of flash player.
While installing previous version flash player, you will be prompted with a message that an “updated or a latest version of flash player is present” and it wont let you install the previous version of flash player. Even after you uninstall the existing version of flash player. (This case I have noticed most of the times).
The only reason for this is that you are connected to INTERNET, and while you run the flash player executable file, it checks for the latest updated flash player released version and prompts if you are installing a lower version of flash player.
You need to follow these simple steps to install previous version flash player:
- If you are connected through LAN cable, disconnect the LAN cable from the laptop/desktop.
- If you are connected through WiFi, close/shut down the connection from the system.
- Now Un-install the existing version of flash player using flash player uninstaller.
Now you are free to install any previous version flash player.
